Master program at IFF

The Master of International Finance is the flagship program of the IFF.
The MSc in Economics with International Finance aims at preparing graduates ready to play the leading roles in the global financial community and among commercial entities. It provides combined expertise in international accounting, corporate finance and investment management. Starting with the review of the basic principles of accounting and finance, the course focuses on advanced issues on investment management and corporate governance. The program provides an opportunity to join a select group of young professionals and academics for intensive academic studies based on a curriculum that is geared towards interdisciplinary learning on international finance.
Compared to other Master Program, the IFF Program is more condensed, goes more in depth and is taught with a strong applied perspective. We have a small resident faculty but bring in the world’s leading experts from private practice, international organizations and top universities.

The courses taught provide IFF-FA graduates with a broad understanding of financial management, financial institutions, corporate governance and investment strategies. The program includes advanced study and application in budgeting, international financial accounting and control procedures, international financial markets, portfolio theory, portfolio management strategies, risk management, working capital management, and mergers and acquisitions. The given knowledge prepares students for careers in a broad array of institutions and fields in government and financial institutions.

Career opportunities

The wide range of subjects thought throughout the course and the flexibility of the qualification is reflected in the variety of business positions our graduates hold. Equipped with most professional expertise within the English language environment our graduates can work as a fund manager, risk manager, corporate treasurer, financial analyst/advisor or an auditor and is an ideal candidate for multinational companies.
It is important that the MSc program runs together with short-term program for professional development and consultancy. This combination is a plus as it provides a strong link to practice and enables to be at the cutting edge of financial science both in theoretical and practical sense. It also guarantees the Program to be adequat.

 In February 2009 11 students joined the magistracy at the IFF, including one student from Bremen (Germany).The students of our magistrate program are graduates from the top universities of the country – The economical faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, State University - Higher School of Economics and leading technical universities. Many of them also work in large Russian and international financial organizations.
